NEG and Karpp also have dedicated safety managers who work closely with our customers and their general contractors. These pros ensure all safety guidelines are met and that the proper equipment is used when we make deliveries to commercial and residential job sites across New England (MA, ME, CT, and NH).

New England Gypsum and Karpp train and certify all operators in-house to safely deliver materials to your jobsite. We hold weekly training sessions on safety, and even offer a safety incentive benefit program for our stockers and warehouse workers. Each of our employees is trained to:
- Recognize safety hazards
- Develop safe work practices
- Follow all established safety rules
- Respond to unsafe conditions
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
It is our practice to make sure all managers and supervisors focus on creating a safe work environment for employees and ensuring proper training.
OSHA and DOT Compliant
We understand the importance of OSHA when it comes to the health and safety of our workers. We are committed to full compliance with OSHA and DOT laws and regulations. We conduct construction safety reviews at the jobsite and make recommendations to ensure everyone on site is protected to the fullest on all deliveries and loading situations. We also conduct regular jobsite visits to check for ongoing crew compliance.
With respect to OSHA, Karpp/NEG employees are trained in:
- Walking-working surfaces
- Hazard communication
- Personal protective equipment
- Material handling
- Power industrial trucks
With respect to DOT, NEG/Karpp employees are trained in:
- Controlled substances, alcohol use, and testing
- Safety fitness procedures
- Qualifications of drivers
- Driving of commercial motor vehicles
- Parts and accessories for safe operation
- Hours of service drivers
- Inspection, repair, and maintenance
- Transportation of hazardous materials
